FSU: SLIS Opening a South Florida Center for Classes Spring 2011
An Exciting Opportunity to Further Your Education!
“The Florida State University School of Library and Information Studies is opening a South Florida Center, offering face-to-face classes beginning January 2011. Dr. Christie Koontz will present Information Sessions on Friday October 8 and Saturday October 9 at the Broward County Library / North Regional in Fort Lauderdale.
Please share the attached flyer with current students or those interested in local classes in library and information studies in South Florida. Those interested in attending the Information Sessions should contact ebe.randeree@cci.fsu.edu
On October 8 and 9, there will be three opportunities to learn about the South Florida Center, the classes, and degrees. The session will include opportunities for questions and answers. Each session will include a welcome and introduction from Tallahassee via Skype by Dean Larry Dennis or SLIS Director Corinne Jorgensen.

Future plans include the FSU School of Library and Information Studies (SLIS) establishing a Center for Innovation and Leadership, a doctoral program in information practice, and on-site collaborative research centers/institutes in Broward County/South Florida.”
