Palm Beach Lakes High Students Make Major Contributions To Community
Members of the Palm Beach Lakes High School French Honor Society, French Club, Debate and Law Honor Society and 15 additional clubs on campus organized a relief effort for the people of Haiti. Students, teachers and staff enthusiastically joined together to send 59 boxes of food, water, blankets, toiletries and first aid supplies. In addition, $1,321 was collected and this donation was sent to Missionary Flights International.
For the second year in a row, Palm Beach Lakes High School has been the overall winner in the “SoBe Go Green Essay Contest” sponsored by SoBe Life. In addition to being the overall school winner, Gabrielle Alexandre from Palm Beach Lakes was the winner from all 10th grade entries in Palm Beach County.
Palm Beach Lakes senior, Emmanuel Watkins was named the 1st place winner by the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Coordinating Committee for his theme, “Living the Legacy” in their oratory contest. He was honored at the February 17th School Board meeting.
