Calling All Entries for the Fair Housing Essay, Poster, and Video Contest!

Third Graders, Seventh Graders, and High School Juniors Invited to Participate

Fair Housing:  Welcome to Our Neighborhood is the theme of this year’s annual  Fair Housing Month Contest. Students are  urged to create a poster, essay or video that incorporates the idea that it is illegal to discriminate in the sale or rental of housing because or race, color, religion, familial status, disability, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status and gender identity or expression.  Students may submit only one entry for each category no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 2.

 First place winners at each level will receive a $100 prize; second place winners earn $50 at each level, and third place winners will receive $25 at each level.   Winners will be announced and prizes awarded at a reception hosted by the Realtors Association of the Palm Beaches in Lake Worth.  The contest is being sponsored by the Realtors Association in collaboration with the Palm Beach County Office of Equal Opportunity.
