Sunset Palms Elementary Wins Second Annual Grand Battle Of The Books Competition

Sunset Palms Elementary won the Second Annual Grand Battle of the Books competition sponsored by The Education Network, the Library Media Services and the Educational Technology department. 

In its second year, the Battle of the Books competition requires students to read fifteen Sunshine State books and answer questions about the books.  Sunset Palms Elementary defeated Morikami Park Elementary. In the process Sunset Palms defended its title from last year. 

The team members were:  Karen Sem, Pooja Jena, Hannah Walton, Isabella Ciseneiros, sponsored by Allison Mittleman – media specialist; Amy Gordon and Jacquelyn Leth – Grade 4 teachers, accompanied with Marie Christenson, a parent volunteer.
