Royal Palm Beach High Honors 9/11 National Day Of Remembrance
Royal Palm Beach High School will be honoring 9/11 National Day of Service and Remembrance with keynote speaker Chief Dan Daly, a 24 year veteran of the New York City Fire Department and immediate respondent to Ground Zero. Dan Daly worked extensively at the scene and became one of the 100 individuals awarded the NYS Senate Liberty Medal for his efforts.
When: Friday, September 10th, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

At the request of the United States Department of State and other organizations, Chief Daly has shared his message of peace, hope, and tolerance around the world. He spends much of his time working as a volunteer with the wounded veterans back from Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as, public speaking in prisons, schools and community events.
“As part of our effort to further our common culture of excellence, we are calling upon our staff, students, and community to work together through service and volunteerism to honor the lives we lost and the heroes who responded in protecting our great nation,” stated Mr. Jesus Armas, principal.
