Golden Grove Elementary Participates In Shoe Drive

To help kick off the new school year on the right foot, Golden Grove Elementary School, along  with members of Christ Fellowship Church, participated in a shoe drive for the students at Glade View Elementary School in Belle Glade. 

Approximately, 169 pairs of brand new shoes were collected and donated to Glade View Elementary.   Linda Edgecomb, Principal at Glade View and former Assistant Principal at Golden Grove, accepted the donations on behalf of the Glade View Eagles.

 “We were overwhelmed by the number of new shoes and by the generosity of Christ Fellowship Church and the staff of Golden Grove.”, said Linda Edgecomb. 

This is the beginning of a yearlong collaboration between Golden Grove and Glade View as they are now “sister schools”.
