Jessica Ehring, a Science instructor at South Tech Academy, is honored as an Educator of Distinction from The National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS). She was nominated by Deon Ellison, a Senior Honors student at South Tech Academy and member of the NSHSS.
Ellison says, “I chose Mrs. Ehring as one of my best educators simply because..….she cares about her students as a whole.” Ehring’s expertise in her field is evident through her students’ success and advancement in her courses. She teaches high-level courses including Biology Honors and Advanced Placement (AP) Biology.
Ellison is in the Medical Science Academy and was chosen, out of a pool of competitive applicants, to be in the Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) track. He credits Ehring with her “excellent teaching techniques that have been challenging and rewarding” in learning the material needed to succeed in the Academy. Ehring’s dedication is evident in Ellison’s continued success in his current AP and Dual Enrollment courses. He is preparing to enter a four-year University and sit for the LPN exam in May.
South Tech is proud to commend Ehring and Ellison for their dedication and
accomplishments. Our mission is to “Create Success Stories One Student at a Time.” Ellison is a remarkable example of one of many success stories at South Tech Academy.
