When? Friday, February 4, 2011 at 8:30 a.m.
Where? Seminole Ridge High School’s Cafeteria. 4601 Seminole Pratt Whitney Rd., Loxahatchee, FL 33470
A first-of-its kind venture in Palm Beach County where high school students will partner with Habitat for Humanity to completely design and build a modular home to be lived in by a family chosen by Habitat. This initiative directly correlates with the goals of the District’s Career Academy program.
Academy students will learn how to build while providing a real home for a real family. Students will be giving back to their community while learning-and-doing construction. Habitat gets to provide a valuable training opportunity to construction program students while furthering their affordable home building program.
