Limestone Creek Elementary “Cougars For the Cure” Race For Charity
Many of our teachers spend the week challenging and inspiring our students in the classroom and on the weekend they turn their focus to the community. The School District admires and supports these dedicated educators.
Fourteen members of the staff of Limestone Creek Elementary in Jupiter recently participated in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in West Palm Beach. The team, consisting of Principal Sue Gibbs, teachers, and faculty was named “Cougars For the Cure” in honor of the Limestone Creek Elementary Cougars. The enthusiastic group raised $1,580 for the charity.
“This was the first year Limestone Creek had a team in the Race for the Cure and we were very excited to participate. It was a wonderful event where we could support a cause that every person has had some experience with whether it has been a relative, friend or colleague affected by breast cancer. We raised more money that we had initially set for our goal. Our “Cougars For a Cure” team can’t wait for next year. We expect to have a larger team and raise even more money!” said Principal Gibbs.
