Through the support of the Mary and Robert Pew Foundation, the campus administration and the media specialist have planned a summer-long literacy program to support and foster a love of reading for students and their families. Behind the effort is a desire to introduce students to a variety of authors and genres while promoting summer reading. Due to the collaboration with other entities such as the Palm Beach County Library and community agencies, the Pioneer Park Elementary media center will host events and activities each Tuesday and Thursday beginning June 14th through August 9th with a culminating event, Summer Reading Celebration scheduled for August 2nd, 2011.
