Limestone Creek’s “Cougars With Compassion” Help With International Coastal Cleanup
A large group of faculty, staff, parents and students from Limestone Creek Elementary met at Carlin Park in Jupiter recently to participate in the International Coastal Cleanup, the world’s largest one day volunteer beach cleanup effort. The group, called Cougars With Compassion, was organized by the school’s outstanding Parent Teacher Organization. The mascot for the Jupiter elementary school is a cougar.
Throughout the year the group will be involved in many activities which benefit the community, representing the school’s awareness and support of the people and charities in the Jupiter area.
“I thought it was fun,” said Madeline Evans, “and we loved the long pinchers we used to pick up the trash. It was like a helpful workshop but with no air conditioning!” Madeline, a third grader at Limestone Creek, was just one of many enthusiastic students who participated in this worthy effort. Limestone Creek is proud to support the community and help make our beaches better for everyone.
