UPDATE – Palm Beach County School Bands and Color Guards Entertain at Free Veterans “Welcome Home Heroes Concert”
The “Welcome Home Heroes Concert” is an event dedicated to honor those who have protected the freedoms and sovereignty of our country.
When? Saturday, June 9, 2012 from 4:30 – 9:30 p.m. NEW DATE!
Where? Meyer Amphitheater – Downtown West Palm Beach.
Several local schools are part of the program including Palm Beach Gardens High ROTC Unit, provided by Sergeant Patterson, who will be presenting the Colors and Atlantic High “War Eagles,” under the direction of Kris Farranti, with a 14 piece jazz ensemble will be playing the National Anthem. Additionally, Palm Beach Central “Broncos” 14 piece jazz ensemble, under the direction of Lucas Brasso, will be performing on stage.
“This day and event is all about honoring our Veterans. These men and women have risked life, seen friends and comrades fall, and fought for us and our way of life,” said Mr. Neil Bellinger, Founder and Director of Operations.
The concert will be feature two great tribute bands (Queen & AC/DC), a veterans job fair, great food, a kids area with bounce houses, slides, carnival games as well as hundreds of Veterans, prominent guest speakers and local officials.
Sponsors for the event include New England Development and Eastern Realty who are the lead agents in the re-development of the Palm Beach Lakes Mall property, JP Morgan Chase and Bermuda Landscaping.
