Wells Fargo made several school leaders happy this week during an annual  event where recipient schools were awarded with $1,000 grants each and treated to breakfast at the Palm Beach Kennel Club Paddock Restaurant. In the photo above, Conniston Middle School Assistant Principal received a check for her school from Wells Fargo Southdale Manager Pablo Granado who selected Conniston to receive his award.

Wells Fargo’s Community Partners Giving Program facilitates the philanthropy of each of its retail banking stores; each location explores the needs of their local communities and selects a non-profit or school to receive a $1,000 grant.

 Recipient schools included:

 North Grade Elementary School

Belle Glade Elementary School

South Grade Elementary School

Conniston Middle School

Manatee Elementary School

Palm Beach Public School

Crestwood Middle School

Jupiter Middle School

Believer’s Academy

Washington Elementary

Roosevelt Elementary

South Tech Academy

JFK Medical Center Charter School

Carver Middle School

Spanish River High School.

Conniston Middle School Assistant Principal Doris Younce said the Wells Fargo Grant is a welcome contribution for their students and staff. “Being a World International Baccalaureate School we’re always seeking ways to impact our students and support staff in their efforts,” she stated. “This award is a great example of how our community supports the students and invests in their future.”

The grants are part of the company’s broader support of its communities. Wells Fargo donates in areas including education, community development, human services, arts and culture, environment, and civic categories. “At Wells Fargo, we are committed to supporting programs and organizations that we believe are important to the future of our communities’ vitality and success,” said Oliver Ariztoy, Community Bank President for Greater Palm Beach County. “So we are proud to support these nonprofits and schools.”

In 2011, Wells Fargo invested more than $11 million in nonprofit organizations and schools. Wells Fargo team members volunteered more than 50,000 hours across Florida.  For details, contact Celeste Siordia, project coordinator, South Florida WELLS FARGO, 561-802-4583 or email celeste.siordia@wellsfargo.com.
