Students Receive Scholarships from Palm Beach County Art Teachers Association
Marlon Murasko of Jupiter High School and Amanda Price of Royal Palm Beach Community High School are the two recipients of the 2011-2012 Annual Palm Beach County Art Teachers Association Scholarships of $1000.00 each. Marlon Murasko will be attending the University of Florida and Amanda Price will be attending The Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale.
The Scholarship Committee met to review the portfolios of the applicants for the 2011-2012 school year. Nine applicants from six different high schools in the county submitted portfolios to be reviewed.
“We wish to offer our congratulations to these students and their art teachers: Brian Kovachik, Elizabeth Christian, and Cindy Oakes,” said Britt Feingold, PBCATA President.
It is the mission of the Palm Beach County Art Teachers Association to support art education and to promote art as a means of communication for each individual. It is the right of each individual to develop his own creativity and aesthetic potential. It is our purpose to strengthen the position of art education in Palm Beach County. We support programs in art which meet the needs, interests and abilities of each individual student. We will promote and maintain the highest quality of art education in Palm Beach County.
