Woodlands Middle Hosts 5K Run/Walk

Woodlands Middle School’s Medical Academy is hosting a 5K Run/Walk at Okeeheelee Park in West Palm Beach, Sunday June 3, , at 7:00 a.m. .  The money raised will be used to purchase equipment and supplies to build the Medical program and enrich the experiences of the academy students.   Assistant Principal, Rigo Gamez  said the event is a way for families to have fun and help students at the same time. “ Whether they walk or run, participants will have a chance to enjoy the course and raise their heart rates—which  is recommended as part of everyone’s  fitness regimen,” he stated. “The funds we collect from sponsorships and  entry fees will help us prepare the students in the Medical Academy for their careers in medicine.”
