2012 Beginning Teachers of the Year and Mentor Teachers of the Year Honored For Outstanding Performance

The Annual Beginning Teacher of the Year and Mentor Teacher of the Year Awards Ceremony took place at Fulton-Holland Education Services Center June 5th. The Department of Professional Development and the Education Foundation of Palm Beach County, Inc. co-sponsored the event in support of first year teachers and mentors.
The awards were presented to elementary, middle, and high school first year teachers and mentors employed by the School District of Palm Beach County, who have been recommended by their principal for demonstrating excellence.
The Beginning Teacher of the Year Award winners are:
Karrah Duvall – Boca Raton Elementary School
Danielle D’Amico – Wellington Landings Middle School
Latricia Santana – Turning Points Academy

Kenlynn Dalton– Elbridge Gale Elementary, Lisa McAndrews– Seminole Trails Elementary, Superintendent Wayne Gent, Lynne Getch– Eagles Landing Middle, Leslie Sommer- Boca Raton Community High
The Mentor Teacher of the Year Award winners are:
Kenlynn Dalton– Elbridge Gale Elementary
Lisa McAndrews– Seminole Trails Elementary
Lynne Getch– Eagles Landing Middle
Leslie Sommer- Boca Raton Community High
Each award recipient received $500 to be used for planning lessons and/or supplies for their classrooms.
