John I Leonard’s Medical Academy Honored

Students in the Medical Academy at John I. Leonard High School received a trophy recently for literally giving of themselves: they donated a total of 183 pints of  blood to the Community Blood Centers of  Florida. The organization honored them for holding the largest blood drive of the school year and named them Student Committee of the Year.  Jackie Burgess, Medical Academy coordinator, was also recognized as the Contact Person of the Year.
