“BOWLING FOR BOOKS” At The AMF Boynton Beach Lanes
The Kiwanis Kids at Crosspointe Elementary School will be “BOWLING FOR BOOKS” at the AMF Boynton Beach Lanes on Tuesday, July 17th, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. The activity is co-sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Boynton Beach.
In collaboration with the local AMF Lanes in Boynton Beach, the event involves several community organizations including the Forgotten Soldiers Outreach and the Literacy Coalition of Delray Beach.
The goal is to benefit the Crosspointe Elementary School Family Involvement Center by collecting donations of gently used books, games, and puzzles. Participants can bring a book and bowl for two hours, trade old books for something new, pick up a free summer kit for K-5 students, win prizes, meet surprise visitors, receive special awards, and have fun with their entire family.
“As this project develops we are in need of support from the surrounding community. We really can make a difference if we come together as a community to help those in need right here in Palm Beach County. It’s as easy as cleaning out a bookshelf or closet! By donating your gently used educational and family materials to the Parent Resource Center at Crosspointe Elementary School you will be making a difference in the lives of so many hard-working local families,” said Lauren Hepworth, the Kiwanis Kids Club Advisor.
The AMF Boynton Beach Lanes is located at 1190 W. Boynton Beach Blvd.
