School District of Palm Beach County Rated “A” for Eight Consecutive Years

Posted by: Natalia Arenas

The Florida Department of Education (FDOE) reported that Palm Beach County will remain an “A” rated district for the 8th consecutive year. In addition, the letter grade for several schools will be adjusted.

It is standard practice for the FDOE to perform a Review Process in which individual student files are revised for any miscalculations. Level 1 and 2 students who demonstrate significant growth are weighted an additional 30%, which increases the students’ total points and the schools’ points. The district will also have an opportunity to review the same individual files when released.

In addition to the “A” rating, the School District of Palm Beach County does not have any “F” rated schools.

The following schools will have their grades adjusted:

F to D Barton Elementary
D to C Bethune ElementarySouth Grade ElementaryBelle Glade Elementary

Seminole Trails Elementary

Westward Elementary

C to B Jeaga Middle School
B to A Hagen Road ElementaryBoca ElementaryS.D. Spady Elementary
