District Administrator Appointed to Steering Committee on Families and Children in Court

Angela Bess, Ed.D., manager of the District’s Court Education Liaison Program, has been appointed to serve on the Steering Committee on Families and Children in the Court (FCC), a state-wide committee established by administrative order, impacting youth and families involved with the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice.  The appointment letter stresses that the primary charge of committee members centers around the development of promising practices designed to help ensure that children involved in dependency and delinquency court cases stay in school with diminished likelihood of arrest, suspensions, or expulsions.
