School District Creates Lessons, Activities For Students Unable To Return To School Due To Tropical Storm Flooding
- August 30th, 2012
The School District has prepared a series of academic activities for students in Loxahatchee and The Acreage at all grade levels, Kindergarten through 12, who have been unable to return to school due to road flooding from Tropical Storm Isaac. These activities are designed to help students maintain their academic skills as they await the reopening of their schools.
The activities are posted on the school district’s main web page or you can follow this link.
The activities allow students to work at home on skills that will help them be prepared to be successful learning the state standards in the classroom when they return to school.
The activities are not mandatory, but are intended to assist parents and enrich student learning. The work will not be counted for credit, nor will students be penalized for not completing the activities. District officials applaud our students parents, teachers and staff for their efforts to keep everyone safe and for their support during the unprecedented flooding from the storm.
