Jupiter High Agriculture Plant Sale Features Natives Species

Posted by: Vickie Middlebrooks

The Jupiter High Agriscience Department will have its fall plant sale on September 22nd.  Many different varieties of plants will be for sale including native species.  Varieties such as Cocoplum, Spicewood, Jamaican Caper are just a few of the native plants that will be for sale.  According to Jupiter High teacher Derrick Crum, “The school nursery also has many of the naturalized plants that are popular in South Florida yards along with some nice hanging baskets that would look great on the porch.”

Plants range in size from one gallon up to 15 gallon.  Funds from the sale will go to help pay for students to attend the many field trips that occur during the year and to purchase much needed supplies.  The sale will go from 8am to 12pm on Saturday September 22nd.  The entrance to the Nursery is off of Toney Penna Drive just west of Military Trail in Jupiter.

For more information please contact the Jupiter High School Agriculture Department at (561) 745-3452 or email derrick.crum@palmbeachschools.org .
