Palm Beach Gardens Elementary Steps Out For Fall Walk-To-School Event
The families and staff at Palm Beach Gardens Elementary are having their fall Walk-to-School Event Wednesday, September 19 between 7:15 AM and 7:45 AM. The Commit2B Fit program has donated pedometers and snacks for the students and staff.
The Walk-to-School Event is an initiative to promote health, wellness and safety for all students as well as reduce the carbon footprint by walking and biking to school. The school staff goes into the community and meets students and parents at designated areas. Students and staff walk to school, while greeting the friendly crossing guards and the students receive incentives upon arrival.
This year the school is distributing Pirate’s Booty to students and pedometers to staff which were donated by the Commit2B Fit organization.
