Roosevelt Middle’s Premier Magnet Programs Depicted In Mural

Roosevelt Middle School in West Palm Beach cordially invites community members to attend a mural signing event, “Discover Roosevelt,” with Artist-in-Residence, Sharon Koskoff, Friday, October 5, 2012, at 9:30am. Ms. Koskoff guided dozens of student artists throughout the summer to complete this enormous mural depicting Roosevelt Middle’s four premier magnet programs.

Roosevelt Middle is an “A” Rated National Magnet School of Distinction and state Green School of Distinction. The four magnet programs depicted are pre-medical sciences, pre-engineering, environmental sciences and technology.

Ms. Koskoff is a full time professional artist known for her Decometric murals, graphic designs, children’s programming and love of architecture. She is the founding president of the historic preservation organization Art Deco Society of the Palm Beaches and author of Art Deco of the Palm Beaches, published through Arcadia Press.

“Over refreshment and tea, please enjoy this signature moment of the mural dedication and mingle with Ms. Koskoff, student artists, student magnet program representatives and faculty,” said Roosevelt Middle Magnet Coordinator Todd LaVogue. “Thank you for the wonderful support you have been to Roosevelt, past or present.  We’d love to see you with us for this wonderful occasion.”
