John F. Kennedy Middle Students Snag Hottest Ticket In Town-Eight Students To Attend Presidential Debate
Eight students from John F. Kennedy Middle School’s TV Production and Journalism classes will be attending the Presidential Debate at Lynn University in Boca Raton on October 22. The students will be conducting interviews with Republican and Democratic personalities. They will also be working alongside a host of media outlets in reporting and filming the debate.
These students represent the high achieving student body at John F. Kennedy Middle. Two of the students attend a Spanish class at neighboring Suncoast High School for high school credit.
Corey Brooks, Principal of John F. Kennedy Middle School, is excited to have his students participating in such a momentous event, “This is such a great opportunity for our students. To have our students be present at such a historic event is amazing and will definitely have an impact on their lives.”
For all Palm Beach County students, a K-12 Debate Curriculum for Education, has been developed to give students specific instruction, aligned with the state standards, on the historical and political perspectives of the American political system and the role of presidential debates.
