The theme of the event is “Step It Up To New Heights.” The event will feature the “Boca Raton Helicopters”. The company will land a helicopter on the school soccer field prior to the race to have BRCMS Principal Peter Slack board and take off. The helicopter will follow the race as it progresses to have Mr. Slack cheer on all participants along the route. Two students will be randomly chosen to ride the helicopter with Mr. Slack.
“We’re always looking for new fun healthy activities that bring parents, students and community members together. The 5K is a phenomenal way to embrace health and wellness and support our students and community at the same time. Hopefully it will become a yearly tradition and just grow from there,” said Mr. Slack.
